When Do We Play & Practice

Intramural Division Winter Indoor Program

In the Winter the Intramural Division practices begin immediately after the New Year's holiday in January and games are played, weather permitting, until the middle of March. Games begin in the middle of January.

Traveling Division Fall Outdoor Program

Practices for the Fall Outdoor season usually start in August for most teams. Games begin immediately following the Labor Day weekend. Games continue being played through November, with some teams seasons being extended into December. Postponements due to bad weather sometimes wreck havoc with the Traveling Outdoor Schedule.

Traveling Division Winter Indoor Program

Practices for the Winter Indoor season usually start in December. Games begin immediately following the New Year's Day Holiday. Games continue being played through March, if the weather has pemitted.

Traveling Division Spring Outdoor Program

The Spring Outdoor season, in the various spring outdoor leagues, begins in March and continues through May, weather permitting.

Traveling Division Summer Program

In the Summer the Traveling Division participates in the FSA Summer Clinic Program. This program includes time for instruction and scrimmages. The program takes place the entire month of August. In past years the program was held every Tuesday and Wednesday evening in August from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM. Keep in touch with us to find out exactly when it will be held this coming August. The Traveling Division uses this clinic time to practice for the upcoming fall season.

Traveling Division Tournament Program

Many Traveling teams participate in both Outdoor and Indoor Tournaments. Most of the teams participate in a local Labor Day weekend Tournament. One of our Traveling teams has participated in the Orange Bowl tournament, held in Florida during the school winter vacation break. Many teams play in an outdoors tournament during the summer and an indoor one in the winter. Each team, with its coach decides on which tournaments to enter. The Fairmount Soccer Association defrays some of the registration fees of participating in tournaments, however, the bulk of the expenses, including all travel and accommodation fees must be raised by each individual team.
